As 2008 comes to a close, it is the perfect time for reflection on how we performed as a company. For the team here at Ardynn Media, it is especially thrilling to say that we have made it through our first year (considering the current state of the economy).
When I look back at some of the branding and positioning decisions that we made, I realize that joining the Chamber of Commerce was one of the best moves we made as a company.

By connecting with the local and national Chamber of Commerce, we have formed partnerships that have led to new contacts from day one. All professionals should remember that introductions and making the 'right' contacts are crucial to any business venture.

When you add in the fact that the contacts we made have helped us truly understand the current economic climate and the effects it has had on small business, it makes me wonder why more companies and individuals don't join. A good percentage of the contacts that we made that first day have already transitioned into new business. We are amazed at times that such a simple decision has led to a dramatic increase in our revenue stream.

The additional revenue stream has allowed us to strengthen our brand and achieve goals that we had set for years 3 and 5. An added benefit is the branding exposure that automatically comes with joining the Chamber of Commerce. Each Chamber has it's own website and showcases their member companies and individuals. They also tend to provide educational support in the form of seminars, webinars and resource libraries.
